Quick Specification On Epson Home Cinema 1080 Review
Installation
Let’s first of all talk about the installation process, which took little time as right out of the box, we mounted the projector on the wall. We place the model at a distance of 11 feet away to project the videos at a projection size of 120″ inches on our alr screen.
After the installation which took around 1 hour. Then we switched on the Epson, and it automatically adjusted the image according to the screen with the help of a picture skew sensor.
Design
To be honest the Epson projectors are known for their simple design that can be fitted anywhere in your room. That’s what goes with the Epson 1080 home cinema model which is portable and carries a weight of 8lbs.
Also, you might require a helping hand if you are going to remove the projector from the ceiling for cleaning purposes.
There is a manual retractable lens cover which is very helpful to prevent the lens from getting dirty when not in use. In the front, you will find an exhaust fan with vents and also a sensor for remote control.
At the back of the projector, there is a mono speaker and a lot of multiple connection systems to connect your favorite streaming device (which we will talk about later in this article).
Now on the top, there are two rings which are zoom and focus rings that can be manually adjusted according to your preference. Also, you will find a horizontal keystone slider which is also adjusted manually.
Image Performance
When testing the Epson Home cinema in video mode with a dynamic setting the picture quality was much better and gave more vivid colors on the screen. However, it has a resolution of 1080p with a contrast ratio of 16,000:1.
Also, when we play a movie in bright cinema mode the images was so brighter that we have to switch on the light to have less effect on our eyes due to the higher brightness level.
So, in an outdoor setting, the Epson will surely do justice due to its high 3400 lumens power and also switching the projector to brighter mode.
Also, we switch the movie from connecting console (Ps4) to the Epson 1080 playing GTAV on it.
We again switch the projector to gaming mode from movie mode and believe me the brightness was dimmer.
But it’s the perfect projection unit with a budget of below $700 where you will get lots of features at a low price.
But the colors were crisp and clear with 100% RGB color displayed due to its 3LCD feature introduced In all Epson models.
Sound System
To test the sound we played a random song from youtube and the speakers had almost zero basses with average sound quality.
So, if you are looking to make your place into a home theater then it’s suggested to add an external speaker either with a 3.5 mm audio jack or an audio output port.
Connectivity
After the image quality 2nd most important factor when selecting the perfect projection system is its connectivity feature. But Home cinema 1080 didn’t disappoint us as it has lots of connectivity at the back of the unit.
So, there are two HDMI ports, USB ports (A & B supports) with audio 3.5mm port, and RCA cable support. We tested the HDMI port by connecting the amazon firestick.
The connection process was as smooth as the projector detected a new firestick in less than 5 seconds.

Final Words On Epson 1080 Review
I would recommend this Epson HC 1080 to those viewers who don’t want to invest lots of money on a projection system and are happy with a 1920 x 1080 resolution system.
So, I hope the Epson Home Cinema 1080 review will help you decide whether it’s the right fit for your home or not.
