First, let’s talk about the resolution both the models come with native 4k with 3840 x 2160 Pixels. But if you see the lumens and contrast ratio, both the units have a good amount of gap between them.
The BenqTK700STI comes with a contrast ratio of 10,000:1 with a lumens power of 3000, which is ideal for watching movies in less ambient light conditions.
But if you are going to use Optoma UHD38 mainly for gaming in daylight conditions or a brighter room with a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1.
So, if you are going to use it in darker conditions with less light in the room, then the BenqTK700STI is perfect for you.

Screen Size
Everyone like to watch movies on bigger screen sizes with clear picture quality. Both models are capable of producing a maximum size of 300″ inches.
But after 200″, the image gets washed out on the screen from both projectors. So the ideal size is between 100″ – 150″ to get higher detailed video quality.
Connectivity
Now in terms of connectivity, Optoma UHD38 does come with lots of ports at the back of its unit, which will help you to connect different devices at the same time.
But Benq TK700STI does have a minimum connection port at the back, it does have an inbuilt WIFI feature that lets you cast anything from mobile directly on the projector.
Also, it comes with a BenQ Android TV dongle which you’ll need to install yourself which will let you enjoy hundreds of apps and games on the screen.
Due to the WIFI feature and its official dongle, Benq outperforms Optoma in this category.
Gaming Performance
Both projector models are made for gaming and competes with each other neck to neck.
The BenQ & Optoma delivers the lowest lag time of only 4ms at a resolution of 1080p with the refresh rate of 240Hz.
So, my friend connected PS5 to test both the models and to our surprise, TK700STi delivers 16ms lag time with a resolution of 4K/60Hz.
When connected with Optoma to PS5, the UHD38 delivers a lag time of 16.7ms @ 4K/60Hz.
But when we switch the resolution to 1080p, both gaming projectors offer lesser lags with a higher refresh rate.
Brightness
If you are going to play games or watch movies in brighter conditions, then Optoma UHD38 will be perfect for you as its lamp comes with a power of 4000 lumens.
On the other hand, if you want to project images in low light conditions where you don’t want the projector to be brighter in a darker environment, then TK700STi is ideal for you.

It all depends on your choice of which is perfect for your needs because both models deliver excellent performance with the longer lamp of 15,000 hours.
